How does the countdown work?

Open one numbered door each morning from December 1st. Behind it is a single piece with its own illustrated step. Two to five minutes a day. The last door, on Christmas Eve, holds the manger.

Do I need any building experience?

None at all. Each door holds one piece with its own illustrated step. It is designed so a child can do it and an adult still enjoys it.

What are the figures made of?

Interlocking bricks in solid, colorfast plastic. They snap together by hand — no tools, no glue. Rated 14+ by the manufacturer because of small parts; younger children build it beautifully with an adult, which is most of the point.

What happens after Christmas?

The nativity stays up through the season, then packs back into its own box. Every piece returns to its numbered door, so next December you start the countdown all over again.

Is it a good gift?

It is the rare gift that isn't finished when you hand it over. They open it, and then they open it again every morning for twenty-four days.
